Customised Medical Solutions

The medical insurance sector is evolving rapidly in an effort to meet the changing employee benefit profiles provided by different employer groups. The era of 'take it or leave it' packages is quickly coming to an end with many key organisatons preferring to self-fund or self-insure.

The savings are real.

The end result is a much more flexible medical scheme at a fraction of the cost of the insured option.

AAR Group Care is a pioneer in 'Customised Medical Solutions' whereby the employer actively participates in designing a benefit structure appropriate for their organisation. Services and medical conditions that would ordinarily be excluded on most insured medical covers are provided for on this medical scheme.

These will include HIV, chronic and pre-existing conditions, dental and optical benefits, among others. AAR Group Care primarily undertakes fund management. Corporates are required to set aside a fund as their annual medical budget for employees, which is then managed by the fund administrator, i.e. AAR Group Care.

The administrator’s role is to contract the selected providers and ensure adherence to the scheme rules. The administrator will vet the bills for inaccuracies and fraud, monitor the limits agreed on a family or per person basis and present the information in an easy to use report format for the benefit of the employer.

Apart from advising clients on the most optimal benefit structure, AAR Group Care personnel also offers a wide variety of insured inpatient and outpatient benefits to allow clients to compare and make informed decisions.
