AAR Healthcare

This is the group’s medical division in charge of all medical services. At AAR Healthcare, we provide comprehensive healthcare services such as:

  1. Outpatient medical care
  2. In -hospital cover
  3. Case management - this entails daily personalized visits by AA R's care managers who liaise with care providers and present daily updates on our clients’ progress to insurers and organisations. This service is available in all major towns in Eastern Africa
  4. Round-the-clock nursing help line
  5. World-wide rescue and evacuation – We provide this service through our wide network of and affiliation with international assistance companies
  6. Mobile health facilities – This service brings healthcare to our clients’ doorsteps in the event of emergencies and is available in major East African cities

AAR Health Centres

AAR Health Centres are fully equipped outpatient facilities, centrally located to serve our members within close proximity of their homes or workplaces. In Kenya, we have six centres in Nairobi, and one each in Nakuru, Kisumu, Mombasa and Kabarak. We have three centres in Uganda and five in Tanzania.

Special needs clinics We now provide special clinics for our members in most of the medical centres.

The special clinics include:

• Gynaecological clinics – To cater for the gynaecological needs of both men and women
• Chronic illness clinics - Our programme for members with chronic illnesses entails treatment, management, and counselling at our chronic illness clinics • Paediatric clinics
• Ophthalmology clinics
• Well woman/man and baby clinics
• Dermatological clinics
• Orthopaedic clinics
• Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) clinics

    AAR Kenya Staff joined other Kenyans in the fight against hunger by participating in the Kenyans for Kenya initiative. The Staff donated a lorry- full of high energy foodstuffs that was given to the Kenya Red Cross Society representative at a handing over ceremony that was held on 18th August, 2011 at George Williamson House.

    AAR hosted the brave Rose Nasimiyu at AAR’s George Williamson Clinic on Friday 29th July, 2011. Nine- Year Old Rose Nasimiyu

    who has made headlines in the past two weeks due to her courage in battling with Hodgkin's Lymphoma which is the cancer of the lymph tissue has touched many lives including that of AAR’s CEO Jagi Gakunju.

    As a result, the CEO offered on behalf of AAR to bear the costs of three of Rose' chemotherapy sessions at Gertrude’s Children’s hospital. “We felt our gesture would become a catalyst for others to offer assistance,” said Mr. Gakunju. “We had touched Rose and unknowingly others in a way we did not envisage,” he said. The response from Rose’s fans and general public in praise of AAR’s gesture was immediate and overwhelming.

    Rose who wants to be a pediatric oncologist and a model when she grows up believes that she will live to be a voice to those suffering from cancer as she is.
