On 5th October 2011, AAR Uganda staff posed for a group photo with their pink ribbons as a tool for breast cancer awareness worldwide.

This is one of their activities to mark the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) which is an annual international health campaign organized every October to increase awareness of the disease, to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

All AAR Uganda staff will wear pink ribbons throughout the month of October.
